The Temple’s Future Destruction: Matthew 24:1-3
In the opening words of Jesus’ Olivet Discourse, He describes the coming doom and destruction of Jerusalem, the temple that stands in His Name, and the general timeline of the people of Israel. This coming destruction comes on the heels of Jesus’ condemnation of their self-righteousness and arrogance at His coming. Three questions are asked by the disciples which are key to the coming discussion.
