In this passage, we look at Jesus’ reference to Daniel’s prophetic work on the abomination of desolation, that is, the thing that brings ruin and death to Jerusalem and the Jewish people there. As referenced multiple times in Daniel at different events, much care must be taken in understanding what this is precisely as Daniel described it. It requires a serious understanding of historical events, timelines, and some mathematics to interpret correctly.
